Urad dal
Ingredients For Urad dal
1)    1 cup urad dal
2)    1 tea spoon ginger-chilli paste
3)    1 lime 2 tea spoons sugar
4)    1 table spoon ghee
5)    ½ tea spoon cumin seeds
6)    A pinch asafetida
7)    4 table spoons finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
8)    Salt to taste
Method For Urad dal
1)    Boil enough amount of water in a vessel. Add washed dal to boiling water. Remove the dirt layer that is formed at the top while boiling.
2)    When the dal is cooked, add salt, ginger-chilli paste, lime juice and sugar, do not over cook the dal or it will be sticky.
3)     Add the seasoning of ghee, cumin seeds and asafoetida to the dal. Decorate with the finely chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
