Not many people see beauty in a pile of sticks. But carpenter-turned sculptor Patrick Dougherty has managed to do just that, turning dead branches into incredible art installations around the world. Dougherty has created over two hundred pieces of public art to date.
His sculptures have appeared everywhere from Denmark to Japan, and include whimsical versions of faces, homes, and even teapots. He uses locally grown materials and often recruits locals to help complete his masterpieces.
