The town picked to host the premiere of the upcoming ‘Smurfs’ film has been painted blue.
Officials in the small settlement of Júzcar, near Malaga, set about painting the entire town in celebration of the movie’s arrival.
Every single one of the historically white buildings has been given a fresh **** of blue paint as part of a project to transform the Andalusia town into a Smurf village in preparation for the release of ‘The Smurfs’ next month.
The Smurfs make their first 3D trip to the big screen in a hybrid of live-action and animated family comedy that sees the little blue creatures interact with real-life actors. The film follows the Smurfs after the evil wizard Gargamel chases them out of their village, and are forced through a portal, out of their world and into ours. Landing in the middle of New York’s Central Park, they must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
