‘First Impressions are the last impressions’, ‘The smaller path ensures the larger journey’, etc. etc. Such phrases are thrown to new lovers or people at the verge of going into relationships a dime a dozen. Other than phrases, dating tips are also given about by well-meaning friends and family members.

The meaning of dates change as, when and if the relation grows and moves ahead. Therefore, there are different dating tips for people going on a date, depending on the depth of their relationship.

One can also have a talk over coffee and snacks. First dates are an excellent opportunity to know more about the person and also as a chance to tell more about oneself. Therefore, activities like catching a movie or an opera should be avoided on a first date. A first date can have a movie or opera on the menu if a dinner or lunch is already on the cards. However, drive-in are a different cup of tea altogether. While movies in theater do not allow a person to speak or share ideas, a drive in movie theater is a different experience altogether.

Lunch and dinners are time tested and honored date ideas. If you are worrying about the non availability of privacy to talk, go for a candle lit dinner. A candle lit dinner will immediately accuse anyone looking towards you of invasion of privacy. A candle lit dinner will also give you a chance to talk to each other and therefore know more about each other.

Lunch and dinner dates are the best to share likes, dislikes and ideas. In this way, future activities can be decided upon. For example, if a common liking to rock music is found, the next date can always be attending a rock concert.

Other than knowing each other well, dates can also be a good way of letting one’s hair down. Therefore, one good date can take place at the nearby video arcade or at outdoor games and activities like bowling, jogging, or over a game of pool. Humor is the best way to start and end the day. Therefore, if your date has a comedy club venue on the cards, it won’t be no laughing matter.

Traveling around for a day is also a great date idea. To add some excitement to the date, you can travel by public transport like the bus, train or the cab all through the day. In this way, you can cover a large area of interest in one day, like the mall, the zoo, the park and other nearby picnic spots.

Maybe the most fun and creative date idea is the beach. The beach is an excellent venue for a date. One can spend the whole day on a beach swimming, listening to music and sunbathing. Swimming also creates a huge appetite, so be sure to have a considerable amount of food at hand. While the beach is a fun-filled venue during the day, it has its own life during the night. A silent walk on the beach during the night is a definite good date idea.

Spending time with kids is one of the best ways for a person to interact with others. Therefore, one good idea of a date is going to the nearby park and playing with the kids or even your neighborhood children. You can also play various children games with them, which will definitely be one memorable date.

If you are of a creative bent of mind, there are various creative dating ideas. Some of the creative, yet fun activities you can have on a date are painting, writing, pottery and other group activities. Planning a picnic in a place that offers some calm and peace is also a good date idea. Picnics are also a great way to cut down on expenses while on a date.

Weight loss articles, whether on the web or in tabloids, seem to be offering the same set of tips to lose those extra pounds. However, it seems that not many of them are concerned about creating a sustainable weight loss regimen. The emphasis here is not only to reduce weight but to ensure that the weight loss is permanent, ideally for a lifetime. The following tips will help you adopt the right perspective, approach and methods for losing weight effectively and permanently:

Develop Weight Loss Habits Rather Than Short-Term Goals
Rather than looking upon losing weight as a short-term strategy, try to develop a mindset where you are automatically attuned towards losing a few pounds at most times. This means that even when you have achieved your ideal figure, you remain aware about your weekly calorie intake and make the adjustments over the next few days to maintain the balance. This ensures that you don’t peddle back towards an unhealthy weight gaining lifestyle. Think of losing weight as a part of your daily regimen where you are constantly aware about making smarter food choices. Every day that you stay away from an extra serving of French fries or don’t take the second refill on your beer, you are effectively losing weight!

Exercise Daily, Even if Lightly
To lose weight permanently, you need to burn more calories throughout the day, i.e. you need to fasten your metabolism. Ensure that you indulge in some bit of exercising on a daily basis. Ideally, this should include some sort of sweat-inducing cardio workout and a bit of stretching. If you could lift weights, it will fast-track your progress. It is not compulsory to be a gymming fanatic. Just get some basic equipment like barbells, dumbbells and resistance bands at home. Combine 30 minutes light weight-lifting workout with another 20 minutes of light jogging or skipping.

Strive For A Healthier, Not Thinner Body
Losing a mammoth amount of weight and being skinny usually leads to a follow-up phase where the dieter loses his patience or resolve to stay away from food. This is the most common cause of people going off-track from their weight loss journey and developing serious emotional problems related to food. As long as your weight doesn’t compromise your health and you feel energetic, a few extra pounds shouldn’t matter. Comparing yourself with movie-starts is only going to set you on a path of extreme, unhealthy weight loss and being stressed.

Gobble-up Leafy Veggies & Sweet Fruits
Anyone trying to lose weight permanently & effectively is bound to face hunger pangs and severe sweet cravings. This is when you need to be strong. Along with some self-resolve try substitutes that can take away the intensity of such withdrawal symptoms. For instance, green leafy vegetables, particularly in the salad form, are very low in calories but the need to chew them constantly induces a feeling of fullness. Similarly, naturally sweet fruits like peaches, apples and pineapples might not be calorie-free but they are loaded with vitamins and minerals apart from plant sugars that are much healthier than refined sugar—making them an excellent choice to overcome sugar cravings. Fruits and green vegetables provide fiber that helps to increase the absorption of water in our stools, ensuring that constipation and retention of toxins is neutralized. This helps to keep our metabolism fast.

Create Your Pool of Weight Watchers
Don’t try to keep your weight loss intentions a secret. Share your plans with your friends and family. This ensures people remind you when you are about to fall into a binging pattern or stray away from your path of choosing healthy foods. This can even include chat or SMS friends who might keep texting encouraging quotes and could suggest healthier food alternatives that you might not know about. This works towards people not pushing you into having a fried snack and understanding why you don’t want to be present around certain types of tempting foods.

Get Your Daily Dose of Antioxidants
A major reason for weight gain is our constant exposure to free radicals that tend to damage our immunity. This also affects our metabolism, making it sluggish, pushing us towards weight gain. Ensure that you get your daily dose of green tea and fruit juices as they are enriched with antioxidants that fight-off free radicals. Drink more water throughout the day to reduce your cravings for sugary beverages and fizzy drinks and flush-out the toxins.

Gradually Cut Down on Your Sugar Intake
Sugar remains the biggest challenge for all folks trying to lose weight effectively. Ensure you lower your daily sugar intake in a progressive, weekly manner. This means gradually reducing the number of sugar cubes you use or sugary drinks you are addicted to. The process needs to be slow since suddenly cutting down your sugar intake can induce a severe craving that can weaken your resolve. Don’t go too heavy on the sugar substitutes as many of these are chemically formulated and their effect on our body hasn’t been fully decoded yet.

Sydney Opera House is one of the most beautiful and famous buildings of modern architecture in the world. This is certainly the most famous symbol of Sydney. Design of the Opera House is a masterpiece of the Danish architect Jorn Utzon. He won an international competition in 1956th and entered the history of world architecture. The original design of the opera was in the form of a series of anchors, but the company that carried out the building claimed that it is impossible to build, and the Danish architect had to make a redesign. After a series of changes and vicissitudes, the construction of this building was completed in 1973. The Sydney Opera House is located within the huge port in this city. Although its name suggests it is intended only for opera, this building has a concert hall, the stage for opera and ballet, theater room and a hall for film screenings. It is home of the Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Australian Ballet.

Nestled on a hill near Bali’s Valley of the Kings, Viceroy Bali Resort Spa offers accommodation units that combine comfort and privacy. The 25 villas of the resort are integrated within this scenic landscape, allowing each of the guests here to enjoy exquisite views from the comfort of their cottage-like dwelling. Despite their partially-rustic appearance, the villas come with the latest electronic amenities, as well as a pool and private outdoor spaces for relaxation. Some of the features of the resort include a bar with a famous collection of scotches and cognacs, a restaurant serving a contemporary French menu influenced by exotic Asian flavors, a Spa offering sublime views of the Petanu River valley, a conference room, a gymnasium and a helicopter pad. Even though the uniqueness and charm of this resort derives from its secluded nature, for visitors wanting to experience local culture, the village of Ubud lies just minutes away. Looking forward to read your comments and opinions regarding this tropical hideaway.

We all heard about Venice Italy that its the only city have no roads, roads are actually canals, but Venice is not the only city in the world having no roads. Giethoorn Netherland, is also a village with no roads, and is a well-known tourist village in the Netherlands, dubbed the “Venice of the North”. This is because of the fact that the village has no motor-able roads, and all transport is done by water over one of the many intersecting canals.

The water surrounds came from the big flood of St Elizabeth in 1170, and the village itself was founded and developed back in 1230 when Mediterranean fugitives came to settle here. The fugitives discovered many horns of wild goats which had probably died in the flood, and that is where the name comes from. Originally they called the settlement ‘Geytenhorn’ which means ‘horn of goats’, eventually becoming Giethoorn over the years.

The village owes it characteristic appearance to peatdigging. The peatdiggers dug up the peat-soil at the places that most suited them, mixed it in a trough and spread it out on the land to dry. This led to the formation of large and small lakes. To transport the peat, ditches and canals were excavated. Many houses are as it were built on little islands, reached through a high bridge. The villagers use small boats with a quiet electric motors known as whisper boats, and wooden bridges are used to connect one island with another.

Giethoorn became famous, especially after 1958, when the Dutch film maker Bert Haanstra made his famous comedy “Fanfare” there.
